In 1989, after watching a neighbour literally fighting with the door of his Tempo shelter during a snowstorm, Rhéal Hamelin of Bromont, Quebec, decided to invent a door that could be operated electrically by remote control on temporary car shelters. So Rhéal founded his company, Les Portes Polaires, obtained a Canadian patent for his invention, and went on to sell more than 3000 doors. Over the years, Rhéal Hamelin has continued to develop better and better product quality… resulting in the new, improved remote-controlled electric door we’re proud to offer today!
Our mission is to make life easier for families during the winter season, here in Quebec and across Canada, by manufacturing reasonably priced, remote-controlled electric doors for their temporary car shelters. We’re also committed to leading-edge expertise in today’s technology and electronics for a world-class, high performance product…with an excellent team to deliver efficient service all the way. As manufacturers, we provide after-sales service to meet all customer needs. No detail is too small. If you need help, just give us a call.
